Team Amos Moses is a group of friends who have taken on the challenge of hunting alligators on the Pearl (and now Pascagoula) River in Mississippi.

Alligator Hunt 2008

This year....nine of us put in for the first weekend of the Pearl gator hunt (Sept 12-13)...with one lucky member being drawn - Mike Saxon.  Also, three of us put in for the first weekend Pascagoula River hunt (Sept 26-27) for the first time as well...most were not interested due to the LONG haul we'll have to make to do this hunt...but out of the 3 of us, Brad Baugh got drawn.  So all of us will be making one hunt, a few of us making the trek to south Mississippi for a second!  Going to be an adventure for sure...check back late September, early October for updates!

Alligator Hunt 2007

This year, Team Amos Moses increased in size by two members. We are dedicated to having a great time in the outdoors, and pursuing the ancient beasts. This year, we had only one permit to hunt on the Pearl River on the first weekend of the state alligator hunt. This permit belonged to Jeffery Hand of Brandon, MS and allowed him/us to harvest 2 alligators, with only one of those being over 7 feet long. Alligator Hunt 2006

We had the opportunity this year to participate in the second weekend of the second Mississippi Alligator Hunting Season. There were seven of us who "put in" for a permit to hunt, and three were drawn...giving birth to Team Amos Moses. We had so much fun in the planning and anticipation process of the hunt! It was a wonderful experience for all of us and all seven are anxious to try again next year. The participants were TCPC members Brad Baugh, Susan Morgan and James "Bubba" Steadman. TCPC affiliate Cap'n Kemp Morgan, Mark Stiles, Mike Saxon and occasional TCPC Guest Chris Giger rounded out our hunting party. We harvested two out of three gators...you can read the stories here:
